“ Excellent customer service provided by Eric last night. And all the employees. The food was hot, fresh, and prepared quickly, even though I walked in on the eleventh hour. (Sorry about that guys) I got a small plate of chicken wings, rice and macaroni salad, the portion was so big for a small plate. The prices are very reasonable, my dish was $9 with tax. I was very full. The restaurant was very clean. The bathrooms were clean. This is becoming one of my favorite little local spots. See you soon, thanks! ”

“ The pug was great, very tender and juicy. Service was fast and friendly at this cafeteria style restaurant. The chicken teriyaki was a bit dry and had probably been sitting out too long. The kimchee slaw was good, not too strong for my wife. I like it fermented to a higher degree. Bathrooms were clean, and the whole facility was well taken care of. The price to portion ratio that we got was good. ”

“ First time to eat at this restaurant. Nice vibe coming in being greeted and helping first timer with the selection process! Might have been an off day for the cook. My choice meat where heavy on the salty side. I'll try to visit again soon to give them a fairer critique. I do like having some choice Hawaiian favorites near our area. ”

“ We have been eating at Makai since they opened their first location on Fort Apache. So glad they added this location in Centennial Hills.I get the choice of three with Teriyaki Steak,Katsu, and the Pork.For sides brown rice, mac salad and kimchi salad.Everything is always amazing.I always get the biggest dish to have leftovers. ”

“ July 2, 2024 We enjoyed the food so much the first we returned to try other dishes. Ivy the server once again was wonderful. She gave us a warm welcome. She was happy to see us return. She said we were awesome customers. We really felt appreciated. It was the first time we had that compliment. She was cheerful, efficient, patient the whole time; an asset to the restaurant. I ordered the kalua pig, garlic edamane and brown rice with a side of ahi poke, very yummy. ------------------------------ Convenient location off 95 on West Tropical. Free onsite parking with handicap parking and handicap access. Very clean, neat, bright interior. Eat in or take out. Spacious table settings. Menu is located above the order counter. Prices are moderate and selections are varied. Ivy our server was excellent, very friendly, courteous and patient. We told her it was our first time here and she was great in answering our questions. The small bowl of teriyaki chicken, brown rice, kim chee slaw with a side of ahi poke was yummy. It reminded me of the Hawaiian islands food. They also have different flavors of Hawaiian Sun fruit drinks. We will return to try the other dishes. ”

“ Nice Hawaiian joint. Order-at-the-bar style fast food. Good poke, teriyaki chicken, chicken katsu, and a few kinds of steak. The 3 item combo is a good value with 2 sides and rice. Sticky rice was good, as was the dole sorbet/whip dessert. Very nice employees, will come back! ”

“ We were looking for some local style food near us after my wife's hair appointment and found this place. Bradda "Gus" was the guy who helped us at the counter, and the young man in the stove with the glasses was pretty funny too. Food was Ono and they offer a handful of sauces that compliment whatever you're eating. We had Teriyaki Chicken, Teriyaki beef, and Ahi Poke. I had the Spicy Poke, believing the other wasn't spicy, but it was, so mama couldn't eat it. Meals also come with 2 sides. The open environment was awesome, I think we were there about 1:30 or so, so it was after lunch time traffic, but that's just how we like it. There's ample parking as well. Enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back. Shout out to them for offering a military discount. We gave it back to Bradda Gus for his outstanding service ”
